Latest Bluetongue report from Defra

A summary of the latest position regarding Bluetongue is now available in the Members' Area under Welfare. While incidences in Continental Europe have improved, there have been incidences of BTV1 and BTV8 in France.

Vaccination played a key role in keeping the UK free of BTV8 in 2008/2009 and members are urged to vaccinate their animals, seeking advice from their vet if necessary.

Don't hesitate – Vaccinate!
