SUMMARY:Intermediate Alpaca Assessment - 31 Oct 1 & 2 Nov 2025
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Toft Alpaca Stud THE Intermediate course will be on the 31st of October and 1st and 2nd of November at Toft alpacas. Tutors are Mary-Jo Smith and Roger Clarke. \n\n\n\nA three-day\, in-person course on alpaca conformation and fleece for huacaya and suri. \n\n\n\n\nA thorough overview of the major fleece and conformational traits for both suri and huacaya alpacas. This enables delegates to:\n\ngain confidence to assess and verbally deliver fibre and conformational characteristics to other owners and potential customers.\n\n\n\nmake informed selection decisions within their own herd\, at shows and when buying stock in.\n\n\n\ngain the necessary information to make appropriate breeding choices.\n\n\n\ngain valuable experience at handling and assessing a high number of alpacas of varying quality\, sex\, and type.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSuitable for all BAS members who are interested in learning more about assessing conformational and fibre traits both on and off the alpaca.  This course is a comprehensive package in furthering alpaca assessment and applicable to all.\n\n\n\nBAS Members price £395 plus VAT.
