BAS Affiliate Training Modules 7 & 8 Breeding decisions, mating, birthing and cris care

Details: This practical course will give you the confidence to make informed breeding decisions regarding your choice of males and females, how to go about matings and the different methods and optimising your set ups for successful breeding and record keeping for breeding. We will cover care of the dam in pregnancy and lactation, the actual birthing process and common reasons that may require intervention by the owner at birthing, together with everything you will need in your birthing kits and practical aspects of neonatal cria care, including when things don’t go according to plan, when to call your vet, the importance of colostrum and understanding all about FPT.
