Stud Auction
The 2026 Auction is over!
What a fabulous few weeks – matings with some of the finest stud males were kindly donated by breeders across the country and the bidding was fast and furious!
The result: some top class cria on the way for the generous highest bidders and a brilliant sum raised towards this year’s National Show.
Many thanks to all involved – and roll on 2027!!
Stud Auction Administration
Two members of the National Show committee will perform the role of monitoring and administering the stud auction activity each year. The objectives of the administrators are to ensure the auction technology functions correctly and that all bidders have the opportunity to participate in a fair auction.
– Administering the auction includes loading details of the studs, setting reserve prices and setting the start and finish times of the lots
– Monitoring the auction includes the ability to see all bids and bidders, including those who choose to appear anonymous on the public site
– During the auction, bids and activity will be monitored to ensure the system is functioning correctly
– If any bidding activity looks irregular, the administrators will confer with the National Show Chair and also with the stud owner to discuss what has been observed and take the appropriate course of action.
In 2026 the administrators will be Harley Taylor and Wendy Scott. The Chair of the National Show Committee is Michael Henderson
