14 Bozedown Generation Now- Opens Mon 16th Feb

Bozedown Generation Now is an outstanding white stud male, combining an attractive, well-balanced phenotype with excellent substance of bone on a correct, strong frame. He is well grown and presents with real presence, underpinned by a fleece that is soft, bright and exceptionally well organised. His fleece shows uniformity of colour and micron both within the staple and across the body, with a low transition line for his age and excellent overall consistency.

His progeny are consistently demonstrating these same highly desirable fleece characteristics. Generation Now’s first crop of crias were born in 2022 (eight in total), and their first-fleece results were exceptional, all returning under 17 microns with low standard deviations — a clear early indicator of his ability to reliably pass on quality.
When assessing a working stud male, it is vital to consider not only his own traits and performance, but also the consistency of his progeny over time, alongside the strength of his pedigree. Generation Now excels on all fronts. His dam, Bozedown Avaline, has been an exceptional producer, giving us five male offspring, four of whom have gone on to become stud males. Among them is Bozedown Blaze of Glory, whose reputation and success speak for themselves. On the sire’s side, Bozedown Rembrandt has been another cornerstone of our carefully cultivated pedigrees, playing a vital role in producing a number of outstanding animals, including being the maternal grandsire of the 2025 BAS National Supreme Champion, Beck Brow Centre Stage.

Bozedown Generation Now did not enter the show circuit until he was a senior male, yet since doing so he has enjoyed remarkable success. His 6th and 7th fleeces at the Heart of England Fleece Show in both 2024 and 2025 achieved scores in the 80s, and he was awarded Judge’s Choice Huacaya Fleece in consecutive years — an achievement that highlights his ability to retain elite fleece traits well into maturity. He further cemented his credentials as a premium producer by winning the Light Sires Progeny class at the 2025 BAS National Show.
While these accolades are worth celebrating, the true measure of a stud male lies in his ability to pass his qualities on to his offspring. In this respect, Generation Now continues to exceed expectations. He was awarded 1st Place Sire’s Progeny at the 2025 BAS National Show, and again at the Welsh Show later that year. We have shown numerous progeny by him, all of which have placed, with many going on to win Championships in both white and light categories.

Generation Now has been used across a wide range of quality females. While not every cria will necessarily become a future stud, what is consistently evident is his ability to stamp his dominant traits and make a marked improvement on the dams he covers. His progeny are easily recognisable in the paddock — a true hallmark of a prepotent sire.

Bozedown Generation Now is a male we are genuinely excited about, both for what he has already achieved and for what he continues to deliver. As ever with alpacas, we find ourselves wishing the seasons away as we eagerly await the arrival of the next crop of crias.
