24 Surico Lorient of Dark Sky- Opens Mon 17th Feb

A solid white male, Lorient’s fleece has the wow factor when you open it with amazing lustre.

His progeny have been extremely successful on the UK show circuit with Supremes awarded in both halter and fleece shows – a total of 19 broad ribbons from 5 different progeny (with 4 different dams) to date.

Before coming to Cornwall in October 19, Lorient had already made an impact on the New Zealand show circuit as a junior and intermediate, with 3 Supremes to his name plus Champion Junior male suri at Waikato (the 2nd largest show after the National).

Lorient’s pedigree is outstanding, packed with Accoyo, Surilana and Surico genetics. and the legendary Surilana Parsifal a grandparent to both his Sire and Dam. Bred by Don Julio Barreda at Accoyo, Parsifal is the most influential suri male in New Zealand having sired 10% of the national herd. His progeny have been awarded more than 57 Supremes and in excess of 200 broad ribbons. A strong boned and compact male with excellent conformation, all his cria, without exception, produced exquisite fleeces with fine pencilled, independent locks and the trademark nose-to-toe coverage for which Accoyo bloodlines are famous.

Lorient’s Sire, Surico Picardy is the progeny of a Parsifal daughter and another famous male, Surilana Mister B who was part of Surilana’s embryo transfer programme and has full Accoyo genetics.
Lorient’s dam, Surico Viola is perhaps most responsible for his density, passed down from her sire, the multi Supreme winning Surico Onedin. She may also take credit for the amazing lustre from her grandfather, Kaihere Accoyo Brilliante, who was particularly renowned for it.
