BAS promotes and provides education and training for members and the general public in all aspects of alpaca ownership and management.

The society facilitates several types of training:

  1. BAS Affiliate – Husbandry and care. Courses offered by BAS Breeders using BAS approved material.
  2. BAS Breeder/Owner alpaca evaluation, fleece and conformation courses – Three levels available: Introduction, Intermediate and Advanced.
  3. Educational webinars – Past webinars are available to members
